This was fixed in an update that we released last night. If you can reconsider adding a playback speed icon/button to the active screen as there was for years that would get me back to 5 stars, as playing programmes at faster speeds (2x) means there’s always times when there’s the occasional voice that is unintelligible, requiring a quick skip back 10 seconds and change to normal speed, then once you’ve understood what was said you can go back up to 2x again. Thanks for updating the app with the fix, much appreciated. Please fix this and then stop tinkering with what was once a really stable and great program / app. In the video options, the following don’t respond to being touched/tapped: Video filters Playback speed Sleep timer Only equalizer and lock interface respond. On iPads, the playback speed was moved off the front screen, and is now in a menu which as of today no longer works. Does VLC quit when the app is in the background or the screen is locked?Īnother update again that’s making this once excellent 5 star program just a complete pain to use. Update recently fixed some bugs but the app still quits and reset during playback. I am going to have to look for another free player to use now. It’s a really a shame cos it worked great once now you get frustrating bugs and random quits and ten taps = quit app.
I don’t think this app gets updated anymore to iron the kinks out caused by iOS updates.
It started quitting randomly after an update to iOS a year ago and it’s gotten worse now with more subsequent iOS updates. Also the artwork features buggy and doesn’t recognise artwork or just repeats other album artwork instead. I listen to my DJ sets on this but now it’s stopped playing them and quits to reset meaning you can’t listen from where it quits. Listen to tracks and the app quits for no reason. Tap the app 10 times and it quits and resets. I have been using this got around a year and while it worked great back then now it’s a problem.
